Introducing Vancestock Unplugged: A Distinct New Event For Music Lovers

Cooper Mediation is immensely proud of the success of our annual Vancestock event. A night of music that serves a dual purpose as a fundraiser benefiting the Trails Youth Initiative, it has quickly become a much anticipated event for Toronto-area music lovers. We will continue to hold our charitable fundraiser yearly. Vancestock IX is set for Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Radio [formerly Adelaide Hall].

Introducing Vancestock Unplugged at The Oak Room (Cambridge Club)

In an effort to bring music lovers together more often to enjoy intimate and interactive events throughout the year, we have partnered with the Cambridge Group of Clubs to create Vancestock Unplugged. This celebration of the artistry and creativity of singer-songwriters harkens back to the days of Cat Stevens, Simon & Garfunkel, James Taylor, Carole King and so many more.

Stripped-down performances, where you can actually listen to and understand the artist’s thoughtful words and melodies, make the experience all the more special.

Inspiration Behind Vancestock Unplugged

Nashville’s legendary Bluebird Café is the inspiration behind the Unplugged series. Singer-songwriters perform in the semi round or in a circle in the middle of a small room that can barely fit 100 people. Everyone listens attentively and intensely. And why wouldn’t they? With pre-fame superstars such as Garth Brooks and Taylor Swift appearing at these shows, you never know if you might be able to say “I heard them before they were famous.”

Although singer-songwriters may spend much of their careers toiling away in anonymity, when they gather at events like Unplugged and begin to play, all eyes and ears are on them. The experience has been nothing short of magical for performers and audience alike.

We love the work we do, we love our community, and we’re a musical family. Bridging all three has been a labour of love for Cooper Mediation and the Cambridge Group of Clubs. The events we’ve held thus far have brought together our cherished friends, family, clients and colleagues and have put a spotlight on some incredible artists.
