The mediators at Cooper Mediation are pleased to announce their sponsorship of the Blues and Roots Radio’s International Song Contest (Male, Female, and Duo/Group) again this year.
In its fourth year, this song contest aims to inspire artists to excel in the art of song craft. BRR aims to advance the opportunities for artists to be heard and read about globally. Established in 2013, BRR broadcasts over 50 radio shows to a monthly listenership in the tens of thousands.

Why Do We Sponsor This Contest?
The mediators at Cooper Mediation have a passion for music and are heavily involved in the Toronto music scene. Cooper Mediation hosts an annual music fundraiser, Vancestock, bringing musical talent to a wide ranging audience while raising funds for Trails Youth Initiatives. In addition, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cooper Mediation and the Cambridge Group of Clubs launched Vancestock Unplugged to bring an intimate listening experience for music lovers while directing all proceeds to the artists. Sponsorship of the Blues and Roots Radio International Song Contest lends itself well with the firm’s passion for music and helping artists.
ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL SONG CONTEST
The mission of this contest is to provide aspiring and established songwriters with the opportunity to have their songs heard on a professional, international award winning platform. One of the aims of this competition is to “nurture the musical talent of songwriters on all levels, both amateur and professional” and to “promote excellence in the art of song craft.” In addition to bragging rights, cash prizes will be awarded.
