Our motto at Cooper Mediation is, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” The Year 2020 and the novel Coronavirus have sure soured the ways we live, work and play. We are all dealing with a very different world and we have and will continue to adapt. This is true of our annual Vancestock fundraiser in support of Trails Youth Initiatives, an organization that supports some of Toronto’s most vulnerable youth. Learn more about Trails [ Website ]. Please take a look at this video which not only provides insight into the work of Trails but also provides a wonderful visual tour of the Trails Lakeside property [ Video ].

The Show: Artists
Our opening act, back for their eight consecutive Vancestock, are a group of wonderfully talented musicians – Sisters & Brothers (Logan Cooper and Jessica Charendoff and their siblings).
Headlining this year is Toronto-based Bywater Call, a nominee for Best New Artist at the 2020 Maple Blues Awards. Visit https://www.bywatercall.com/ to listen to their self-titled debut album, Bywater Call.
Why Trails Needs Your Help Now More Than Ever
The youth who benefit from Trails are, by the very nature of the charity, “at-risk-youth.” COVID-19 has increased these risks dramatically [ Watch video: #ThanksToTrails].
Moreover, many of the kids at Trails are members of visible minorities. Recent events in Canada and the US have shone a bright light on the challenges facing visible minorities.
We understand that the new date, time and location of this year’s event, together with health and safety, physical and social distancing concerns will make it more challenging for some individuals to attend this year’s event. We have included a photograph of the area that will be used for the space and how our attendees can be physically apart on the lawn. With this in mind, I ask that you give serious consideration about making an online donation, even if you’re not sure you can or will attend this year’s event.
2020 Donation Matching Program
There is no charge to attend Vancestock. Cooper Mediation covers all associated expenses. As a result, 100% of the money you donate goes directly to Trails. Together, we have raised over $265,000 over the last 8 years. Help us add to this total.
This year, Cooper Mediation will be matching donations dollar-for-dollar to a maximum of $5,000. We ask you to be generous and help keep the Trails program running through this pandemic.
New This Year
Efforts are being made to determine the viability of live streaming the event on our Facebook page so you can enjoy the music if you cannot attend and/or after the event is over. Follow us here: https://www.facebook.com/
