Vancestock XI Raised Nearly $33,500 for Trails Youth Initiatives. Would You Help Us Get To $35,000?

Cooper Mediation and Trails Youth Initiatives send out our heartfelt thanks for all the support of this year’s edition of Vancestock XI. Together we raised nearly $33,500 towards Trails bringing our 11 year total to over $360,000!

What’s more, fundraising efforts towards Vancestock XI continue. That means there’s still an opportunity to contribute to this year’s total. We would like to politely and respectfully request for you to consider donating to Vancestock. Please remember that 100% of your donation goes directly to Trails Youth Initiatives and donations over $20 receive a tax receipt, which will help you cut your tax bill.

Please see some videos and photos from Vancestock XI and some more thank yous below. Like our Vancestock Facebook page to stay in the know.

A Look At Vancestock XI – September 17, 2022 Was A Day of Fundraising, Music and Fun.

There is no way to be unbiased but this year’s event may have been one of the best ever. The weather was wonderful, the grounds of Trails were beautiful and manicured to perfection, there were almost 175 people in attendance (not counting pets) and the music was spectacular. We were able to celebrate the ability to gather as a group, the wonderful artists singing their hearts out for such a wonderful cause, and the fact that fundraising efforts were yet again coming together.

For those of you who attended Vancestock XI, you were treated to three fantastic performances – Sisters & Brothers [Logan, Jon and Harrison Cooper and Jess and Jacob Charendoff], soul, R&B, Southern Rock and Pop performer Conor Gains, and the talented Toronto-based headlining act, Samantha Martin & Delta Sugar – a two time Juno-nominated 10 piece soul band. We may be biased but that’s a lot of talent!

Why Do We Fundraise Through Vancestock?

Raising $30,000 takes commitment from a community of loyal donors. Over 11 years these donors have raised a grand total of over $355,000 which has allowed dozens of at risk inner city youth to engage in a program that would otherwise not be available them.

The “Four Seasons, Four Years, For Life” programme is a unique, outdoor, adventure-based programme that supports youth through experiential learning, skill development, high school credits, bursaries and mentorship. Trails challenges and equips vulnerable youth to become contributing members of the community.

Why Does Trails Need Your Help Now More Than Ever?

Trails Youth Initiatives challenges, equips and empowers vulnerable youth to be contributing members of the community.

The youth who benefit from Trails are, by the very nature of the charity, “at-risk-youth.” COVID-19 has increased these risks dramatically.

Many of the kids at Trails are members of visible minority communities. Recent events in Canada and the US have shone a bright light on the challenges facing visible minorities and vulnerable youth.
