20 Nov Vancestock XIII Raises Almost $42,000 For Trails Youth Initiatives
Cooper Mediation and Trails Youth Initiatives send out our heartfelt thanks for all the support of this year’s edition of Vancestock. Together we raised almost $42,000 towards Trails bringing our 13 year total to over $440,000!
There is still an opportunity to contribute to this year’s total! Please consider donating to Vancestock XIII. Please remember that 100% of your donation goes directly to Trails Youth Initiatives and donations over $20 receive a tax receipt.

It Takes A Village: Further Thank Yous
In addition to our wonderful musical acts (The Honeyrunners, Dom Louis and Sisters & Brothers), we would also like to thank the wonderful staff at Trails without whom we would not have been able to put on Vancestock XIII. Without you there would also be no program for the very youth we’re fundraising for and the program we’re fundraising towards. Thank you for all the work you do.

Our Performers
Vancestock XIII was a night of music and charity fundraising, featuring:
The Honeyrunners
A Northern take on Southern Soul – hot-blooded and rife with the poetry of heartache. The 11-piece Toronto band delivers a big show, laced with elements of folk, blues and indie rock. Their music suits fans of bands like Arkells, Nathaniel Rateliff, Humble Pie, and Alabama Shakes.
_____
Dom Louis
Blending sounds from his earthy influences, Dom has been carving his name into the folk music scene through his timeless, evocative songs and charismatic performances.
_____
Sisters & Brothers
Sisters and Brothers were back for their 11th consecutive Vancestock performance – Lead by Logan Cooper and Jessica Charendoff with musical support from their brothers, Jon Cooper, Harrison Cooper and Jacob Charendoff.

The Cause
Trails Youth Initiatives is an organization that supports some of Toronto’s most vulnerable youth. Founded in 1992, Trails has over 500 graduates – all due to private funding such as donations and events like Vancestock. Trails fosters community, emotional intelligence, and self-knowledge through outdoor experiential education. Trails focuses on growing skills such as conflict resolution, leadership, critical thinking and reflection. With their focus on transference, participants build a positive engagement with Trails, the outdoors and their authentic selves. Through equal parts challenge and opportunity, Trails doesn’t aim to just make a difference, they change lives.
